Pete trained with one of (what was then) the Big Six accounting firms in the mid-90’s and has been a CIMA-qualified Chartered Accountant since 2002.

Peter is a “DBA Expert” for the Design Business Association (https://www.dba.org.uk/experts/peter-carter/).

Pete’s range of experience over the last twenty years includes:

  • Financial controller / finance director roles in businesses from pharmaceutical and manufacturing to engineering
  • Starting, running and selling an accounting an outsourcing firm including basic processing, VAT returns, payroll, business and personal tax returns and year-end company accounts, specialising in creative and marcomms agencies
  • Automation of finance processes to maximise efficiency and eliminate duplication of effort
  • Preparation and presentation of tailored financial information, historical and forward-facing, for management teams and board meetings
  • Creating tailored real-time forecasting and modelling tools to enable a real-time view of the business
  • Use of accounting software (Xero, SAP, Sage, Quickbooks, Freshbooks, Navision and others)
  • Software implementations (Xero, Sage, Navision and others)
  • Preparation of due diligence information / data rooms for business sales and acquisitions
